We'll modify your bike in the style of an old Schwinn Cycletruck. You get a smaller front wheel, a longer head tube, and a big heavy duty rack welded to the front of your frame. It's much more stable than a typical fork-mounted rack or basket.
This is a press-in clamp-on kit that turns your bike into a cycletruck without any permanent frame modification! Currently we build these one at a time to match the geometry of your frame and ensure your bike handles well. For $500, you get a new fork, a 20" x 16" heavy duty rack, and the clamp hardware. The fork and rack are powder coated the color of your choice. We will install the kit on your bike for an additional $50. Let us know if you want any additional features such as a light mount or screw-down points for a platform.
Order now using the button below. Lead time is 3-4 weeks. If you need help determining your head tube angle or axle to crown measurement, contact us. We will bill you for the actual shipping cost once it is determined.
For bikes with fork braze-ons to fit a Nitto Campee 32 or similar and which don't use caliper brakes, such as the Rawland rSogn, Soma Grand Randonneur, and Rivendell Hunquapillar and Atlantis.
I build these racks in 4130 chromoly and 316 stainless. The powder coated chromoly racks are $250 and the bare stainless racks are $275.
There is a flat $15 shipping rate attached to this product. Buyers outside the US will have to make an additional $40 payment to email@example.com to cover international shipping.
Currently out of stock. ETA for new chromoly racks is the end of January.
